About Hypnosis

In general terms hypnosis is a heightened state of suggestibility. A person who is in hypnosis may look as if they are asleep, but they are not. They are in a state of focused attention.

Just about everyone can be hypnotized if we take the time to remove any fears and misperceptions about hypnosis.

Most people don’t realize that they have been hypnotized before. Day dreaming is a form of hypnosis, it’s focused attention. Highway hypnosis is another type, when you realize that you have driven past your exit. You were so focused on something you missed your exit. Another type of hypnosis is when you get a cut or bruise and don’t know where it came from. You were so focused on what you were doing you didn’t realize you got hurt. Hypnosis is a normal state of mind.

Hypnosis has been approved by the American Medical Association since 1958. The hypnotherapist can’t make you do anything you do not want to do, even stop smoking. You have to want to do the work. The hypnotherapist  is just a coach, it is a partnership when we work together on your issue.

About 5-Path Hypnotherapy

The type of hypnotherapy I do is called 5-path, it involves working with the emotion associated with your issue.

5-Path is one of the most modern techniques we have in the world of hypnosis and works very well with a wide variety of issues.

Hypnosis can offer relief for many issues. Listed below are common issues hypnosis may help.
ADD/ADHD
Habits/Addictions
Pain Management
Teen/Childhood Issues
Sexual Issues
Anger/Emotional Problems
Relationship Issues
Stop Smoking
Weight Loss
Sleeping Problems
Fear and Anxiety
Stress Management
Motivation and Confidence
Psychosomatic Illness
Sports Improvement
School Problems
Public Speaking

5-Path is a five phase process. Most people only need to go through the first four phases and can do this in approximately 4 to 6 sessions per issue. Some take more sessions. You need to commit to doing the whole process in order to get the full benefit from the program. If you have more than one issue you want to work on, some additional sessions will be needed.

5-Path works better than old techniques that are still in use today. With 5-Path we eliminate the emotion that is driving the behavior and then give you suggestions to help you make the changes you want to make. It’s like emptying the cup before you try to put suggestions for change back in it, now there is room for them to stay. Direct suggestion therapies are just trying to put suggestions in an already full cup and they just flow back out again.

With 5-Path I can help you make life changes in a very short period of time. Call me for a free consultation either in person or over the phone. I’ll be glad to answer all your questions.
